Xiaomi MI 8, MI 8 Explorer edition and MI 8 SE officially launched
Xiaomi launched MI 8, MI 8 Explorer edition and MI 8 SE during their 8th anniversary celebrations in Shenzen, China. The three variants have different specs,features and they are typical notch warriors lets take a look at them.
Xiaomi Mi 8
The Xiaomi Mi8 comes with 6.21-inch FHD+ 18.7:9 Samsung AMOLED display with an 88.5% screen-to-body ratio and a brightness of 600 nit. The phone’s back is made of glass and has dual rear 12MP wide angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. The dual-rear camera setup is backed by AI that identify scenes and apply the best settings.On top of that the device also adjusts the brightness, contrast and colors based on the scene it recognizes. The 20MP camera on the front and has a f/2.0 aperture and it supports beautify and portrait modes.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU. This is coupled with 6GB of RAM with either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. According to Xiaomi the phone has a score of 301,472 on Antutu benchmark, making it the most powerful smartphone to come from a the manufacturer.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition is an upgraded version of the Xiaomi Mi 8. The phones comes with a translucent back cover something we have seen with the HTC U12 Plus,it also has an under-display fingerprint scanner something we have seen with the Vivo X21 and also 3D Face ID which we have seen with the iPhone X.
The phone also has a face recognition system that utilizes dot projector and a flood illuminator to precisely register and recognize a face, making it more accurate than most Face recognition technologies.The under-screen fingerprint scanner works in a small portion of the display and it is pressure sensitive.
The Mi 8 Explorer Edition comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi 8 SE
The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is a less powerful variant of the Mi 8 and comes with 5.88-inch FHD+ AMOLED display along the top notch.The phone comes packed with the latest and newest upper midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor with the Adreno 616 GPU.
The phone will come in two variations;4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage.The phone also packs a 12 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup at the rear with a 20 MP camera up front.
